Gillesberg – at its best

Gillesberg is an untypical vineyard on many levels – and Rust's highest topographical point. Once dedicated to growing Welschriesling, Gillesberg is now home to more offbeat varieties such as our fabulous Cabernet Franc.

The single vineyard "Obere Wald"

„The single vineyard "Obere Wald" stands for Blaufränkisch affinity that has turned into soil". This is a our new saying. The exceptional position of the Oberer Wald is demonstrated by the fact that it is the only vineyard in Rust that slopes entirely to the south. Most of the remaining single vineyards which shape the Rust vineyard arena face eastwards towards the lake.

Cultivated 500 years of Ruster Ausbruch

Ruster Ausbruch is by far the oldest designation of origin and has recently received DAC status. 2018 even brought us two Ruster Ausbruch wines - one of which is a rarity made from 100% Gelber Muskateller.

Geyerumriss

An unusual name for an unusual vineyard. How Paul Triebaumer turned a site planted with a variety of grape vines into a prime location for Rust's showpiece varieties, whose fruits we can enjoy today.

Le Petit Man Sang 2019

We Triebaumers have always been solid variety pioneers, so we didn't talk for long but did it.

The Plachen - worth every effort!

Clay, where originally there was none, meandering vines and ampelographic cuckoo eggs. The Plachen is very special in many ways. And that is exactly why we love it.
