29.09.2017

4 Servings

  • 200g dumpling bread or cut rolls
  • 50g butter, 80g onions
  • 100g spicy cheese
  • ca. 1/8 l milk
  • 2 eggs, 50 g flour
  • salt
  • marjoram
  • nutmeg
  • 2 TBL chopped parsley

Goes well with a classic beef soup, tastes also deliciously as main course with side dishes such as potato salad with watercress or corn salad!

  1. Panfry chopped onions in butter and mix with breadcrumbs. Add eggs, chopped parsley, salt, some marjoram and nutmeg together with the flour.
  2. Pour warmed milk on it, add finely cut cheese and knead to a medium-solid mixture. If the dough is too solid, add some more breadcrumbs.
  3. Form small dumplings and press to small loafs. Fry slowly in a hot pan with butter. A small amount of fried bacon can be added to the Kaspressknödel-mixture.
