Farmer’s Salad


4 Servings

  1. Wash salad and drain thoroughly (a salad spinner works even better).
  2. Boil potatoes and cut into pieces when still warm. Remove pips from tomatoes and green pepper and dice. Combine into a bowl. For the marinade mix wine vinegar, salt, pepper, some sugar, oil and garlic thoroughly. Chop onions and bacon and brown with melted butter in a hot pan.
  3. Pour in marinade. Bring to boil for a short time and pour over the salad. Spread with chopped chives and serve immediately along with crisp farmer’s bread.

Goes well with Furmint, TRIE or the classic Blaufränkisch!
