Blaufränkisch Reserve

Vintage

2008

Description

Purple with a dark cherry-red rim, dense tears. Complex aroma spectrum of black cherries, refrigerated black berry juice, peppercorn, oak bark, black pepper, hibiscus, cedar trees, notes of blackthorn, juniper faintly perceptible. Dry, powerfully structured, with substantial-smooth tannins which appear as if dipped into dark nougat chocolate. Characteristic and inviting. Lavishly structured appearance. Animating fruit sweetness yet supported by Rust minerality, fiery. Long finish with a promising ageing potential. Very serious reserve quality.
