The Rust region

If you were to cast a glimpse at the view from Gillesberg or even the "Oberen Wald" onto the vineyards of Rust, you would see that this quaint and unique province has something extraordinary about it.

It was the Celts who built the first vineyards in Rust over 3,000 years ago. Then the Romans came and finally wine was being made by the new settlers of the Karl des Großen reign in the Ninth Century. The history since then has been very changeable; yet it was the quality wines of the region, that made everything right again!
